Village blinds have been creating beautiful blinds for homes across Northern Ireland for the last 30 years. Our dedication to excellent quality products and the very best standards in customer service has seen the business grow from our local retail business to include manufacturing blinds to the trade and more recently our retail e-commerce platform. We have ambitious plans for our future growth and are actively recruiting a Magento developer to join our small, but established team.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Magento Developer to join our group of companies. The ideal candidate will use their skills to develop best-in-class websites for our group of companies. They will be at the forefront of our process of continual improvement for existing sites as they evolve to add more functionality and efficiencies.

This role would be suitable for a candidate who has over 2+ years experience of commercial web development in PHP frameworks e.g. Magento, WordPress or any other PHP framework.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software architecture, design, coding, and software development processes for building web applications.

You will be working on a number of Magento Open Source, Adobe Commerce (formally Magento Commerce), and Cloud for Adobe Commerce (formally Magento Commerce Cloud) projects. You will be given the opportunity to achieve Adobe/Magento Certifications and increase your Magento knowledge.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Individually contribute code to projects
  • Run the existing deployment pipelines
  • Peer review code created by other team members
  • Review functional and integration specifications to meet architectural challenges
  • Follow best practice guidelines
  • Troubleshoot issues and deploy solutions Skills Required:
  • 2+ years of commercial software Development
  • Experience of Magento 2

Desirable

  • Linux, Nginx
  • Git-based source control
  • MySQL / MariaDB/
  • Working knowledge of Angular and React frameworks
  • JavaScript / HTML / CSS
  • Experienced in using collaboration and project management and reporting software such as Slack/Asana/Trello/Optimize.
